Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name or a date of birth into a search tool on this site, the entry passes to the outside provider that runs that tool. The provider processes the request and sends back results. We do not keep a copy of the terms you type.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message so we can reply to it. It stays with our team, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires that step.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page here loads, our servers receive a small set of technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device is using
- Your browser and the version it reports
- Your device type and operating system
- Which pages loaded and how long each stayed open
- The referring site, when there is one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site sets cookies, which are small files stored on your device that help us see how visitors move through the pages. Analytics services aggregate that traffic information. Every browser lets you block cookies, and some features may act differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
Collected data supports a short list of purposes:
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Routing your search requests to the correct partner service
- Learning which pages help readers and which need revision
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant information. Every warrant entry discussed here stays with the office that publishes or maintains it. What this site offers is general guidance about where Redwood County warrant records are held, including the Sheriff's Office, the courts that issue the orders, and the county's data practices route. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing gathered about visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file on any third party. Minnesota has no public statewide warrant search, so no such system is described here.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search boxes shown on this site. Whatever you type into those tools is handled under the partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide how long they keep data and who else sees it, and their practices are outside our control. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to county offices, court pages, and other outside resources. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then applies to your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may track activity across sites to choose which ads you see. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A few categories of recipient may still receive information:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics services used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on these pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect what we collect. No internet service can promise perfect safety, so we protect information as well as we can without guaranteeing that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent data to us, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Minnesota's records law, the Government Data Practices Act in Minn. Stat. chapter 13, applies to government data rather than to a private website like this one. Even so, you may ask us what we hold about you, and we extend the following options to visitors:
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
